TR Kuhlmann team runs up a great total for charity
Employees raise €300 for Ugandan causes with sponsored run
Employees from TR’s German enterprise, TR Kuhlmann, raised €300 for humanitarian projects in Uganda by taking part in a charity run this summer.
The entire team of 5 employees from TR Kuhlmann ran through Verl, with each runner donating €0.60 per kilometre to Humanitäre Hilfe für Uganda. The charity funds a range of vital services including five hospitals, one orphanage and 18 first aid centres in Uganda. It also operates a rescue service with German doctors and medical assistants posted to Ugandan hospitals, as well as essential equipment including medicines, beds and consumables.
Peter Henning said: “It was fantastic to get the whole team working together to help this amazing grassroots charity improve medical services in Uganda. The run was a challenge but the thought of the children and people who will benefit from the money we raised kept us going.”
