TR lends support to Drive DeVilbiss Sidhil’s annual charity golf event
A team of TR employees took part in the 3rd annual Drive DeVilbiss Sidhil charity golf day at Forest Pines Golf Club near Scunthorpe on 29th June, which raised an incredible £6000 for the local Forget-Me-Not children’s hospice.
As well as putting forward a team of golfers consisting of Kevin de Stadler, Sean Cushen, Ian Shaw and Scott Graham, TR was also one of the event’s corporate sponsors, and donated an Amazon Echo as a raffle prize.
The event is held each year by hospital bed manufacturer Drive DeVilbiss Sidhil to raise funds for the Huddersfield hospice, which supports children with life-shortening conditions and their families. From providing respite care, medical and clinical support to special events, activities and experiences, the hospice creates magical moments and memories for the families in their care.
Kevin de Stadler, UK & Ireland Sales Director at TR Fastenings, comments: “Taking part in the golf day is always a fun experience, if not always a winning one (!) and it’s great to be able to play a role in raising money for such a worthy cause. TR is proud to support the local community in as many ways as possible and we were thrilled to be a sponsor for this event.”
Jeremy Taylor, Sales Director from Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare “We were thrilled that TR Fastenings were able to take part in the Golf day and their generosity with donating a fantastic prize for the raffle. We couldn’t run these events without the help of our wonderful sponsors and are so pleased with the incredible total raised on the day for a very special charity. Thanks for all your help!”
