Scott Graham - TR Scotland, Jan-Erik Storsve - TR Norway and Joe Haymes and José Vera - TR USA, are all visiting this primary energy industry event in Houston.
The team spent the two days exploring the huge venue and meeting fellow suppliers of products to the Offshore industry. The event split into respective countries and the team split on day two into the relevant area for their locations.
Scott Graham, TR Scotland commented, "I had a productive time of it getting details of around a dozen manufactures in Scotland that we can target for business. I also met up with the head of the Scottish International Business Development, who was overseeing those companies exhibiting in the Scottish area, we plan to meet up in Scotland in the future to discuss networking opportunities that we could get involved in. After spending a couple of hours in “Scotland” I spent the rest of my time at the conference exploring the stands of the big name players in O&G. It was interesting to see the services they offer, the difficulties they continue to over come and the technology involved in the exploration and excavation of oil and gas.All in all the trip has been very informative and will hopefully lead to some new opportunities for TR in the near future."
Jan-Erik Storsve, TR Norway commented, "Today I went to see all of the Norwegian companies at the show, there is a lot of new projects under development. One thing is for sure there are fasteners in more or less every product being displayed at the show so with 2600 exhibitors, there is a huge amount of potential. This event is the biggest show for Oil and Gas in the World, it has been very beneficial for TR to attend. It has been a fantastic experience to see the show and how big this industry is in all parts of the world."
Joe Haymes, TR USA commented, "I visited the USA section of the show and chatted to a company that manufacturers heavy duty all purpose cases in UK, USA, and Canada and a couple of enclosure companies that use self clinch product and 400 series stainless product. The show has been a great success and we look forward to continuing our discussions with the many contacts we have made over the last few days."
