TR teams get into festive fundraising spirit with Christmas charity initiatives
TR teams from Scotland and BBP in Uckfield have been raising money for charity this year by holding festive activities and wearing Christmas jumpers to work.
In Scotland, staff took part in the national Save the Children Christmas Jumper Day on Friday 15th December, raising £171. As well as wearing their festive knits, the team held a cake sale, sweepstakes, a Christmas quiz and a ‘Guess the Number of Sweets in the Jar’ competition.
BBP, Uckfield staff raised over £40 for the local St Wilfrid’s hospice by wearing their Christmas jumpers. The team also donated advent calendars to a county-wide scheme benefitting children at Brighton’s Royal Alexandra Children’s hospital, organised by Reed Accountancy Brighton in partnership with Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals charity. Over 500 calendars were collected from businesses across Sussex and distributed to long-term patients at the hospital and their siblings.
Each year the Uckfield team donates money to a selection of charities instead of sending Christmas cards to their colleagues, this year the location donated to the Trevor Man Baby Unit, St Wilfred’s Hospice and the Born Free Foundation.
