“Confidence and positivity” at Southampton Boat Show
High level of interest from UK and mainland Europe in TR Fastenings’ marine products
TR Fastenings has taken the opportunity to showcase some of its wide-ranging portfolio of marine components at the Southampton Boat Show, which has just concluded for another year after a successful 10-day exhibition (16th-25th September) which attracted more than 110,000 visitors.
On the Marine Manufacturing stand at the famous on-water show, representatives of TR Fastenings Poole received a good number of potential new business enquiries from UK and overseas companies – an encouraging sign echoed by the show’s organisers, British Marine, who reported that the industry’s widely-shared concerns about Brexit were countered by a mood of “confidence and positivity.”
This year TR Fastenings found there was particular interest at the show in its black finished stainless steel fasteners, its five-tier twin-bin racking system for production line-side supply, and its trading relationships with Big Headed Bonding Fasteners and JCS Hi Torque Clips, which effectively provide customers with the convenience of a one-stop shop.
The Minister for Transport, John Hayes MP, commented at the show: “Britain has world-class marine industries which play an important role in our economy. It is only just a year since the publication of the Maritime Growth Study and already we are seeing our industry partners taking major steps forward in how they market and grow this industry. Shows like this are a key to supporting and increasing export growth and showcase the leading UK companies who are pushing the boundaries in innovation and engineering technologies. With Government and industry working together we can continue our proud history as a powerhouse of marine industries.”
TR Fastenings to Showcase Marine Fastener Range at Southampton Boat Show
Come and see us on Stand J254
A member of British Marine and part of the global TR Group, TR Fastenings Poole will be exhibiting at the Southampton Boat Show from 16-25 September 2016 and looks forward to welcoming visitors to the Marine Manufacturing Stand to discuss their fastening requirements. With one of the largest portfolios of marine components on the South Coast, the company is always looking to develop and improve its service, quality and products and has recently introduced a new range of +315 Deg C silicone masking caps and plugs, ideal for thread masking needs such as anodising, powder coating, spraying, painting and protection against damage.
TR Fastenings also supplies a wide range of marine grade A4-316 grade stainless steel fasteners as well as riveting and bolting fasteners – suitable for masts, spars, sails, rigging and deck hardware. All these products are easy to find on TR’s website, which also includes information on its Vendor Managed Inventory Service. This is an ideal way to manage the supply of components direct to the production line while eliminating unnecessary administrative processes. TR can tailor each system to a customer’s specific needs, from a simple KanFax system to a full Direct Line Feed.
TR Fastenings’ worldwide sourcing enables it to meet high-quality production demands at competitive prices, ensuring that all fasteners are traceable as a standard requirement. Maintaining this innovative approach, TR Fastenings is looking ahead to develop its product range and markets further, with continued growth forecasted.
“With over 35 years’ experience in the industry, we have built up a well-deserved reputation as the go-to source for marine fasteners and fixings,” comments Jerry Howe, Operations Manager at TR Fastenings Poole. “Based in Poole, Dorset, we have the advantage of being on hand to provide engineering support whilst also having access to the latest warehousing and global logistics capabilities.
“We have once again joined forces with other key companies in the marine supply chain at the Southampton Boat Show to collectively promote our innovative solutions for the UK marine industry and look forward to welcoming you to our stand.”
