TR Singapore leads green transition with advanced vacuum solvent system from IFP Europe

TR Singapore, part of the Trifast plc Group, has taken a major leap forward in workplace safety and sustainability by upgrading its fastener cleaning process with a new vacuum solvent cleaning machine, supplied by Italian manufacturer IFP Europe.

Installed in April 2025, the new system replaces the legacy kerosene-based method with a safer, closed-loop solution that improves operator safety, enhances air quality and reduces environmental impact by recycling solvent for reuse.

The investment follows a full review of existing practices, which flagged several operational risks from kerosene usage, including flammability, poor air quality and insufficient protective equipment. 

By contrast, IFP’s KP100 system delivers superior cleaning performance while maintaining air purity in the factory and removing hazardous exposure for operators.

The system’s ability to clean, recycle and recover solvent aligns perfectly with the Trifast Group’s OneTR strategy, which brings together best practice and continuous improvement across all operations.
