Today a high percentage of our Group turnover is with major OEM’s and sub-contractors in the Automotive, Electronics, Telecoms, Domestic Appliance and General Industrial sectors.
These sectors require an enhanced level of technical and design support to meet their specific needs. This entails building relationships with customer's engineers, so that TR is engaged at the early stages of product design. TR’s involvement is essential at the concept and prototype stages to ensure the correct choice of fastener. This is a key area of TR’s involvement and commitment to customer’s requirements.
Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) are the integration of product design and process planning into one common activity. The goal is to design a product that is easily and economically manufactured.
Within our 7 manufacturing locations TR has a wealth of engineering experience which customers can utilise. Our engineers work on refining tool design, production processes and efficiencies. This ensures the part is manufactured to the correct specification at the lowest possible cost. Feasibility engineers make sure we comply with customer’s drawings and requirements to help identify any areas of concern or risk. Technical Sales engineers offer on-site customer support for problem solving and VA/VE initiatives.
