Lancaster Fastener Team Makes a Positive Impact at Morecambe Bay Beach Clean

A team of six colleagues from Lancaster Fastener,  joined by two members of the Global Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) team, recently took part in a beach clean at Morecambe Bay, demonstrating their commitment to supporting the local community and protecting the environment.

The group spent time collecting litter along the shoreline and surrounding areas, helping to preserve the natural beauty of the bay for residents, visitors, and local wildlife.

One of the most memorable moments of the day came as the group walked through the historic village of Heysham following the clean-up. A local volunteer approached the team to express their appreciation, thanking everyone for helping to keep the area clean and tidy. They explained that the village is preparing to host its annual Viking Festival over the coming weekend and wanted to acknowledge the team's efforts in ensuring the village and surrounding coastline would be looking their best ahead of the event.

The positive interaction highlighted the impact that community volunteering can have, not only by improving the local environment but also by strengthening relationships with the communities where we live and work.
